Close Brothers Asset Management Makes Senior Hire

Close Brothers Asset Management, part of London-listed banking and investment house Close Brothers, has appointed Frankie Mendoza as head of product infrastructure and strategic relationships.

Mendoza joins from Legal & General Assurance Society, where he worked for over 20 years - most recently as operational readiness director ahead of the Retail Distribution Review, according to a statement. 

Earlier, Mendoza was customer service/operation director, responsible for the L&G platform. He also spent four years as head of investment services.

In his new role, Mendoza will be responsible for managing relationships with new and existing strategic partners, including platform providers and other third parties. He will also develop the infrastructure for the firm’s investment products and services. 

Doug Naismith, head of products, financial institutions and self-directed, said Mendoza’s appointment reinforces the firm’s commitment to developing strategic partnerships with platforms and third parties in the run up to RDR and beyond.

Close Brothers Asset Management operates out of offices in London, Bristol, Manchester, Cuckfield, Leeds, Newcastle, Northwich, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
